Dr. Richard Brouse

Dr. Brouse is a widely recognized authority in the fields of nutrition and prevention of chronic degenerative diseases. He follows the practice of natural nutrition and lifestyle espoused by Dr.  Forrest Shaklee, a chiropractor, whom he met in 1976. He is a gifted speaker with the ability to communicate scientific information in a manner that the general public can understand and apply. Dr. Brouse has authored books, training programs, and documentaries on health and wellness for over 40 years. He founded the Sunnyside Health Center and Chiropractic Clinic in 1977.  Since that time many people have regained a greater measure of health while following his recommendations. He continues his nutritional counseling of health-minded people throughout the world.

Dr. Brouse received his Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Western States College of Colorado in 1970. When in the Army, he was appointed by the US Surgeon General to conduct metabolic research at the Burn Research Center in San Antonio, Texas from 1970 through 1972.  He served as Professor of Clinical Nutrition, and an Instructor of Minor Surgery and Proctology at Western States Chiropractic College for many years. He is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition, a member of the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine, and of the National Health Federation.

Dr. Brouse and his wife, Jennie, enjoy wholesome living on a few acres in the country, growing a flourishing garden, and raising free-range fryers and layers, Herefords and Muscovy ducks. Their children and grandchildren are a top priority motivating many family get-togethers. Christian principles give stability to their home, work and play.
